Project Background and Purpose
Old Company - New Brand
Option One Solar became so successful during my time there, the owners decided to purchase a local roofing company with the extra profits and diversify their offerings to customers, Chaparosa Roofing was that company. The roofing company had been around for 50 years, similar to the company they already owned.
This acquired business became like a sister-company. Many employees were asked to complete tasks for both companies, including myself. This effectively gave us double the work-load without any additional compensation or time for projects. Despite these issues, I was determined to make this new objective successful.
The first step to revamp the marketing for Chaparosa was to update the brand. I studied the old logo, had some conversations with the long-term owner/operators, and researched other similar brands to create the new look. I decided to focus on the rose part of the design. It was a big hit! One of the few times the first draft was almost the final art we used.
From this new logo remake we started with new crew shirts, vehicle wraps, and lots of different marketing items (like carpenter pencils) for giveaways. Our new vehicle wraps were so iconic, they became a symbol of the company itself, and part of new shirts and other giveaways.

Through the Roof!
Our new strategies were wildly successful, and the company was constantly struggling to keep up with new business requests. We were quickly backed-up for months of new sales, and the crew grew by over 60% to try and keep up! We also won the “Best Of The Desert” for the first time in the company’s 50-year history.
Collaborating with the team at Chaparosa was always a blast! They were so happy to finally have someone making cool shirts and stuff for the company. Everyone was always so appreciative of each new item I came in with for giveaways. I really miss these guys!
